EYES OF THE BROKEN comes at a time when the broken systems in society that lead to brokenness within families and communities have become unacceptable to people from all walks of life. Mass incarceration, homelessness, unemployment, and broken homes seem to be topics that weigh heavy on everyone’s hearts and a list of items to be tackled or addressed on their agendas but EYES OF THE BROKEN has taken a different approach to resolve these problems.
Here at EYES OF THE BROKEN, we believe the only way to create balance throughout the world and heal the brokenness created by the broken systems in society is to start with the people who have suffered because of its brokenness.
For this reason, we have developed a 3 PHASE master plan to promote social change, end mass incarceration, reduce unemployment, homelessness, and broken homes.
PHASE I: BUILD HOPE
Written to free individuals incarcerated Spiritually, Mentally, Financially, and Physically—Emancipation Freedom for the Incarcerated Soul is a book that goes beyond teaching you how to break free from the broken systems in society. It also shines a light on the social and economic injustices minorities face because of its brokenness.
PHASE II:
PROMOTE HOPE
PRISONLIVESMATTERTOO THE COLLECTION is a collection of clothing and other merchandise created for individuals incarcerated Spiritually, Mentally, Financially, and Physically. This collection gives people who feel strongly about the problems in society (Mass Incarceration, Unemployment, Homelessness, & Broken Homes) the opportunity to not only voice their opinion about such matters but also promote hope by wearing the collection.
PHASE III: TAKE WHAT'S HOPED FOR & TURN IT INTO REALITY
Destiny Revealed is a training and reentry program that focuses on mending the brokenness of the brokenhearted and creating a safe haven (recreational space) where individuals who have been impacted by Incarceration, Unemployment, Homelessness, and Broken Homes can receive love, help, hope, and support as they journey towards freedom. This program provides opportunities for participants to obtain and produce what’s hoped for physically—such as business and home ownership.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
By utilizing Emancipation Freedom for the Incarcerated Soul—a book written by the business’s founder Johnesha, PRISONLIVESMATTERTOO THE COLLECTION—a clothing line as well as other merchandise, and Destiny Revealed—a training and reentry program EYES OF THE BROKEN teaches people how to heal from the pain of their past and change from within (character-wise), which furthermore enables them to become the solution to their own personal problems and the problems in society.
At EYES OF THE BROKEN, we believe in the inside-out method. Teaching people how to start from within helps them prepare to accomplish their goals and teaches them how to maintain and keep what they’ve worked hard for.
